Join us for a Summer Late Opening when the museum and caffè will be open until 21.00 - a perfect opportunity to enjoy an Italian aperitivo in the garden and have a taste of Italy in our caffè.

Free* talk at 18.30 with Charlotte Chase

Drawing connections between Parmiggiani’s Delocazioni, in which dust, ash, and shadow function as poetic materials of memory, trauma, and absence, and the intimate use of cremation ashes in contemporary memorial jewellery, whether suspended in resin or transformed into diamonds, this talk reflects on how both art and memorial objects find resonance in the fragmentary: the traces of loss, the presence of the absent, and the survival beyond death.

The exhibition Claudio Parmiggiani, and our permanent collection will be open until 21.00.

Drinks and food can be purchased from the caffè, standard admission fees apply to visit the galleries.

About Charlotte Chase
A recent graduate in Italian Studies and Art History, Charlotte has spent her time divided between Venice and London and is currently embarking on a new venture into gemmology. Her interest in the history and psychology behind jewellery types, and a healthy curiosity for medieval relics, led her to research into the use of bodily remains in jewellery as material agents of memory.

* Free with an admission ticket purchased on the same day, Members and Students go free.
