An evening in support of the Estorick Collection
On 8 October, the Estorick Collection held its Gala Dinner at the Ambassador’s Residence in Grosvenor Square, generously hosted by H.E. Fabio Cassese, Ambassador of Italy to the United Kingdom, and Mrs Flaminia Cassese. Patrons, business leaders and friends of the arts joined us for an evening in support of the museum.
Four speakers addressed the room. Ambassador Cassese welcomed guests to the Residence, and Jane McNeill, Co-Chair of the Estorick Collection Board of Trustees, spoke about the place in the cultural life of London. Our Director, Roberta Cremoncini, thanked everyone for their support. Sir John Tusa closed the speeches with his memories of the Estorick.
Each guest left with a gift bag of products from our sponsors, made possible by their generosity.
We are deeply grateful to our in-kind sponsors, Lavazza, Fabriano, Atelier Rebul, Carnevale, Zonin and The Olive Oil Co, whose generosity shaped the evening, from the gift bags each guest took home to the food and drink on the night. Thank you also to every guest and donor whose support made the dinner possible, and to Lara Veroner for her support of the evening.
Our warmest thanks go to Ambassador and Mrs Cassese, and to the Embassy of Italy, for welcoming us so graciously to the Residence.
The evening's proceeds will support the glazing of the works in our permanent collection, safeguarding them for future generations. As a registered charity and independent museum, the Estorick Collection relies on the support of our community, and we are grateful to all who joined us.
