Life Drawing at the Museum

Join us for an untutored life drawing session with a professional life model.

Kings for Life (Drawing) is a relaxed, drag king/thing life drawing session, a chance for people to experience drag in new ways outside of cabaret. We encourage a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere and welcome all abilities.

Will be a chilled two-hour session Buster Marlin as your model. Expect a laid-back, friendly environment, perfect for all levels, whether you’re a regular life drawer or just curious to give it a go.

Last-minute model change!

Ilinx is sadly unable to make it, but we’re thrilled to welcome Buster Marlin in their place.

Buster is a theatrical menace and possibly sentient theatre curtain, born out of the mind of a circus clown (or that’s at least one of the stories they’ll tell you). Known for large, loud performances, this clown has a heart of coal... we mean gold.

It’s about to get a little weird.

Bring your own materials if you can, but a limited selection will be available on the night.
We can provide drawing boards and a selection of basic drawing materials. You are more than welcome to take your kit with you. Please note: only dry materials are allowed in the galleries.
