This catalogue was published to accompany Alberto Burri: Form and Matter, curated by Massimo Duranti, held at the Estorick Collection in 2012.

The exhibition was the first major retrospective of the artist’s work, and the catalogue further explores Burri’s extraordinary ability to conjure poetry - and a powerful sense of monumentality - from the simplest and roughest materials.

Included are works from a number of important public and private collections in Italy and the United Kingdom, and contributions from Massimo Duranti, the curator of the exhibition, and Andrea Baffoni, on form, space, and matter in Burri's work.
